James “Jimmy” Wallace Williams, 74, of Onia, Arkansas passed on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from this life into the arms of his Savior. He was born December 29, 1948, at West Helena, Arkansas to the late Bowden E. and Mattie May (King) Williams.

Jimmy was a member of Timbo Missionary Baptist Church. He had a big heart and loved people. He enjoyed going to church and visiting with family and friends. Jimmy never met a stranger and he helped those he came across if at all possible. Jimmy was a hard worker who was always found tinkering around his home or cutting firewood for the winter. He was a great father and grandfather, who had the gift of storytelling. Jimmy’s favorite pastime was watching the Arkansas Razorbacks, listening to football games on the radio and driving around looking for things from the past, such as, old school houses, gyms, trains and anything that was built in years gone by. As he traveled he also would stop by waterfalls, places of beauty that had been created by the hands of God himself. He loved to be outdoors doing something even if it was sitting on his back porch just taking in life scenes and events of the day.

Jimmy is survived by his sons, James (Traci) Williams, Patrick (Kristie) Williams, Jeff (Jennifer) Edwards; daughters, Susan (Shannon) Pruitt, Laura (Doug) Haberstroh, Amy (Kyle) Branscum; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Donald King and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Bowden and Mattie Williams; granddaughter, Payton Williams and brother, Bowden E. Williams Jr.

Pallbearers are Jeff Edwards, Brayden Morrison, Hunter McCarroll, James Reece, Clinton Hackworth and Darian Hatten.
