During a recent bye week, the Batesville Pioneer football team rolled up their sleeves and used the time to get involved in some meaningful community service.

The team visited the STARS Academy facility to clean the windows, move large furniture, and spruce up the playground area for our local students.

In a media release, the Batesville School District said, “When our football stars step off the field and into the community, they show us that being a true champion means more than just winning games. It means showing up for our neighbors, our schools, and our city.”

In the release, the school thanked the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce for facilitating the visit. The district also thanked the coaches for “making community service a priority for these young men.”
