The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has part of Camp Tahkodah Road (State Highway 230) in Independence County closed for an undetermined time.

A “bridge issue” is the reason for the closure, ARDOT says. The bridge is being replaced with a precast concrete box culvert.

ARDOT says a detour for eastbound traffic from Highways 25/230 will go east 6.7 miles to the Highway 25/167 intersection and then south 3 miles to the Highway 167/230 intersection. Westbound traffic will follow Highway 167 north 3 miles to the Highway 167/25 intersection and then will turn west for 6.7 miles to the intersection of Highway 25/230.
