Lyon College announces 2023 Alumni Awards recipients

The Lyon College Alumni Leadership Council recently announced the recipients of the 2023 Alumni Awards, to be presented during ScotsFest at the Alumni Awards Celebration on Friday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. in the Patterson Dining Hall, Edwards Commons on the Lyon College campus, 2300 Highland Rd., Batesville.

“Please join us for dinner, drinks, and a wonderful evening celebrating this amazing group of people: shining stars of Lyon College, the Batesville community, and beyond,” said Cindy Barber, executive director of alumni engagement.

Award recipients include the following:

Dr. Clare Brown, ’13 – Patterson Decade Award.  Dr. Brown is Assistant Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

Jon-Michael Poff, ’13 – Patterson Decade Award.  Poff is the Senior Editorial Director at BuzzFeed in New York City, New York.

Dr. Megan (Holifield) Roulier, ’13 – Decade of Service Award. Dr. Roulier is a pharmacist at EconoMart Pharmacy in Batesville.

Hon. Lisa (Nelson) VandenBerg, ’94 – Distinguished Alumna Award. VandenBerg is Judge of the Arizona Superior Court of Maricopa County in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mayor Rick Elumbaugh – Honorary Lyon College Alumnus. Elumbaugh is the mayor of the city of Batesville.

Tickets for the 2023 Alumni Awards Celebration are $30 per person and $225 for a table of eight.
