The video showed it all.

According to Independence County Circuit Court information, it was a theft committed in the parking area of a Batesville business last week.

Batesville Police Department investigator Sgt. Brenda Bittle was called to Tripp Supply, a business on Lawrence Street, in reference to the case of breaking or entering on Oct. 19.

The victim told Bittle that video from a store across the street had captured a female apparently entering his van and taking several battery-operated hand tools and a battery-powered radio while the victim was shopping inside at Tripp.

The victim told Bittle after he returned from the store to his job, he discovered the tools and radio were missing.

The court information said the video from a store across the street showed the female, identified as Misty Dawn Sallas, 43, taking tools from the work van, putting them into her Hummer, and then driving off.

According to the court documents, Sallas told Bittle that she took the tools from the van so she could pawn them and buy a battery for her vehicle.

The tools were valued at around $1,500.

Sallas has been charged with three counts of felony breaking or entering and one count of felony theft of property. Her bond was set at $5,000.
