Edward (Ed) E. Harris, 83, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away October 21st, 2023, peacefully, at his home. He was born October 28th, 1939, in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Elton and Mae (Kirby) Harris.

Ed was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. As a young man, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country. Ed loved gardening, hunting, fishing, reading his bible, playing cards (especially solitaire), watching Gun Smoke, and spending time with his beloved family. Almost every day you could find Ed going to the Krispy House and drinking coffee with his friends. He was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Tuwania Linville (Rickey) of Onia, Arkansas and Donna Lucy of Mountain View, Arkansas; two brothers, Bobby Harris of Marked Tree, Arkansas and Paul Harris of Mountain View, Arkansas; two sisters, Diane Vinson (Eddie) of Mountain View, Arkansas and Ruth Harris of Mountain View, Arkansas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Mae Harris; two sons, Eddie Harris and Glenn Harris; and two brothers, Jack Harris and Charles Harris.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Hilton Sullivan will officiate the service. Interment will take place at Levisy Flat Cemetery, in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Asher Burnett, Dylan Harris, Seth Davis, Lance Bonds, Destry Gill, and Jake Gill.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jonathon James and Ed’s coffee-drinking buddies from the Krispy House.
