Ruby Duncan Greenfield, 94, of Batesville, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023.
She was born May 17, 1929, in Spring Mill, Arkansas to John Wesley Brooks and Maggie Ella Swaim.
She loved being outside tending to her garden and flowers or just sitting out on her porch. Cooking for her family was one of her favorite things to do. We always gathered at her home no matter how much her family grew! She was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting the Cushman Community Library. She was also an excellent seamstress and had a talent of making her own patterns. Most of all she loved her Lord and her family.
Survivors include her children, Nancy Wren of Batesville, Joyce Dennis (Randy) of Little Rock, Peggy McSpadden (Ronnie) of Cushman, and Tony Greenfield (Denice) of Spring Mill; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Buchanan of Southside; nine grandchildren, Wendee Richards (Todd), Rodney Greenfield (JoAnn), Travis McSpadden (Bridget), Brian McSpadden, Ryan McSpadden, Matthew Greenfield (Natalie), Aaron Greenfield (Christina), Brittney Tucker (John), and Dana Sullivan (Jordan); nineteen great-grandchildren, Kristen (Noah), Allison (Ryan), Carter Wayne, Peter, Sawyer, Nikki Jo, Maggie, Macey, Karson, Zoie, Gabby, Saer, Alayna, Rylee, Cassie (Cody), Julie (Matt), Justin, Ty and Max; and five great-great-grandchildren, Chayse, Corbin, Elle, Isla, and Olivia.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 75 years, Eugene Edward Greenfield; one son, Wayne Greenfield; one granddaughter, Deanna Dowell; one brother; and six sisters.
Pallbearers are Travis McSpadden, Brian McSpadden, Ryan McSpadden, Matthew Greenfield, Aaron Greenfield, and Rodney Greenfield. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Hendricks.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Allen Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the funeral home.
