Janis A. Johns, 79, passed away on November 2, 2023. She was born in Gid, Arkansas, to Theodore and Pearl Adkisson.
Janis was loving and kind. She always put others before herself and would make sure that everyone around her was taken care of. Janis was also a hard worker and worked for Conagra for over 38 years. In her free time, she loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, or walking by the creek collecting rocks. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and baking, especially desserts. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Adkisson and Pearl (Harvell) Adkisson; husband of 38 years, Floyd Johns; daughter, Debra Webster; son, Glenn Aaron Webster; ex-husband, G.D. Webster; and sister, Glenda Stubbs. She is survived by her sons, Darren Webster of Batesville, Arkansas, Richard Johns of Grubbs, Arkansas, Bobby Johns (Katie) of Melbourne, Arkansas, and Floyd Johns (Terry) of Oregon; daughters, Michelle Weaver (David) of Grubbs, Arkansas, and Tonya Hinds (Lance) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandchildren, Nicholas Fowler, Kiarra Dawkins, Travis Johns, Alexander Johns, Selena Hinds, Haley Hinds, Ashley Johns, Courtney Jackson, Dylan Rose, Adam Slayter, Aidan Taylor, Nora Johns, Maranda Longo, Mikaila Veliz, David Weaver, Landon Weaver, Bailee Weaver, and Noah Weaver; nieces, Tena Miller (Steve) and Sheila Elmore (Ralph); as well as, five great-grandchildren.
