Lena (Stevens) Lewis of Newport, Arkansas departed this life on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the age of 95. She was born August 28, 1928, in Wirth, the daughter of Ira and Mabel (Traw) Stevens.
Mrs. Lewis was a graduate of Swifton High School and attended Williams Baptist College for two years. She retired from Jackson’s Funeral Home where she had worked as a funeral director. Mrs. Lewis was a housewife and a homebody. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Lewis loved her family and friends, and cherished spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lewis; one daughter, Karon Lewis; one sister, Leila Lorene (Stevens) Eason: and her parents.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lewis of Newport; one sister-in-law, Linda Knapple of Fisher; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Graveside services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Remmel McCall Pavilion. The interment will be in Remmel McCall Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Chris Clark, Darryl Massey, Sandy Vanoven, Jake Nunemaker, Brady Cason, and Ray Clark.
