Raymond “Bud” Edington, 85, of Batesville passed away Monday, November 6, 2023.
He was born August 29, 1938, in Guion to Dick Edington and Sarah Howell.
Bud was a caring, stern and strong-willed man who loved hard. He worked at STI for 37 years as a ranch foreman, taking care of all the cattle and hay. Bud loved his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren. He also loved to hunt, fish, travel, go to the beach and work his own cattle.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Edington of Batesville, Randy Edington (Jo Ann) of Little Rock; two daughters, Janey Mullins (Danny) of Batesville, Donna Strayer (Jay) of Edgemont; four sisters, Evadean Yonaka (Leon) of Washington, Faye Condrey of Guion, Ann McTigue of Cave City, Murt Edington of Melbourne; nine grandchildren, Tosha Nelson (Joe), Jason Edington (Kimberly), Daniel Mullins, Nathaniel Edington (Telenna), JW Mullins (Whitany), Steven Strayer (Danielle), Kimberly Burns (Michael), Clayton Strayer (Jessica), Billie Esponisa; twenty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rhunia Condrey Edington; one sister, Lorene Yonaka and a daughter-in-law, Paula Norman Edington.
Pallbearers are Jason Edington, Nathaniel Edington, JW Mullins, Clayton Strayer, Steven Strayer and Keith Grimes. Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Sisk, Jackson Knight, James Knight, John Knight, Tony Edington, Jay Strayer, Randy Edington, Danny Mullins and Donnie Tate.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 10, 2023, at Reeves Cemetery in Guion at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Tyler Bramlett officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
