William Junior Powell of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the age of 78. He was born July 12, 1945, in Newport, the son of John Henry and Ethel (Dobbs) Powell.
Mr. Powell worked many years on Morrison Brothers Farm.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Wayne Powell; one brother, David Carroll Powell; and his parents.
Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Charlotte of the home; two brothers, Johnny Lee Powell and Phillip Powell and wife, Sarah; four sisters, Opal Crouch and husband, Johnny, Shelia Billingsley and husband, Frank, Lisa Powell, and Naomi Grubbs and husband, Walter; and three grandchildren, Michael Powell, Dustin Powell, and Dakota Powell.
Funeral services will be announced at a later time.
