Carolyn Maxine (McClusky) (Henderson) Reynolds, 83, of Floral, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 13, 2023. She was born February 14, 1940, to Veda Lorene (Grady) McClusky and John Larkin McClusky in Oil Trough, Arkansas.

Carolyn loved being of service to others and retired from White River Medical Center’s food service department. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and working in her yard, flowerbeds and vegetable garden. Carolyn was a member of the Church of Christ. She would often be found reading or studying her bible in the evenings.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Bernice “Bob” Henderson and Jessie Reynolds; brother, Charles McClusky; sister, Jewel Henderson; and grandson, Christopher Henderson.

Carolyn is survived by one brother, Gerald McClusky; two sons, Stephen Henderson (Wendy) of Floral, Arkansas and Brent Henderson of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; a stepson, Jessie “Bud” Reynolds (Tammy); a stepdaughter, Donna Deaton (Scott); seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a niece and several nephews; and numerous friends.

The family would like to give their sincere appreciation to all the staff, doctors and nurses at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Heber Springs for taking such great care of her for the last three years. The staff in the 500 hall knew Carolyn well and knew she wanted to help other residents. She watched out for other residents and kept busy with them until her final days. Additionally, we are grateful to Dr. Williams, Nurse Jamie and the staff of the Baptist Hospital of Heber Springs, who cared for her until she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jamie said, “Carolyn came into the hospital with a smile on her face and left with the same sweet smile.” Carolyn knew where she was headed and was not afraid.

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
