Curtis G. Bangs, 72, of Fayetteville passed away November 10, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born December 24, 1950, in Batesville to Elmer Gene Bangs and Geneva Forshee Bangs.
Curtis was a simple man who loved his neighbors, sitting on the porch with his dog, and enjoyed riding the dogs in his golf cart. He loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Arkansas Razorbacks and riding his E-Bike. He was a James Bond fan and loved watching all of the James Bond movies. Curtis was a master mechanic who loved piddling with cars. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Vietnam. Curtis also worked for UPS, Walmart, and Pam Trucking.
Survivors include three children, George Bangs and Kerry Holt (Dan), and their mother, Rachael Bangs all of Nebraska, and Brian Bangs of Arkansas; two sisters, Gail Abernathy (Frank) of Southside, Carol Opitz (Dave) of California; five granddaughters, Spencer, Sara, Lexi, Taylor, Ashley; one grandson, AJ, and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers are Dave Opitz, Dan Holt, George Bangs, Frank Abernathy, Chad Abernathy, and Cole Abernathy.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Marcella Cemetery with Brian Coats officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
