Barbara Ellen Harris Batten, age 70, of Mountain View, gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. She was born September 18, 1953, in East Prairie, Missouri to Margaret Jean Goodman Harris and Arvle Henry Harris.
Barbara was a nurse by profession and loved being able to care for others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a wonderful friend to so many people. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith and a member of Three Crosses Cowboy Church.
Barbara is survived by one son Jeff Wallace (Janell) of Onia, AR, and two daughters, Debbie Clark and Terrie James(David) both of Drasco, AR. One sister in law Pam Harris of Heber Springs, Ar., nephew Rodney Claussen (Shelli) of Ozark, Mo. 8 grandchildren, Lakesha Fielder (Ethan) of Cave City, Ar., Jacob Wallace (Lesley) of Onia, Ar., Deanna James (Scott) of Drasco, Ar., Clint Clark (Missy) of Mountain View, Ar., Justin Clark (Geneva) of Drasco, Ar, Gary Bracey (Cassie) of Concord, Ar., Cole Goodson (Krista) of Drasco, Ar., Cody James (Melissa) of Greenbrier, Ar., Special great Niece and Nephew (who also knew her as Mamaw) Sarah Nesbitt (Malcolm) and Zach Claussen both of Ozark, Mo. 13 great grandchildren Kade and Dallyn Fielder, Bryar Wallace, Bailey Roper (Justin), Brody James, Jace Clark, Chance Clark, Tyler Clark, Kaylee Clark, Knox Clark, Whitley Goodson, Grady James, and Addie Cooper, one very special cousin who was her caregiver for the last few years, Shirley Ramsey of Mountain View, Ar. And a host of extended family and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Arvle Harris, her loving husband of 33 years Harold Batten, brother Ray Harris, Sister Sarah Claussen and son-in-law Danny Clark.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Flatwoods Cemetery, with Bro Lance Hames officiating.
Pallbearers are Jacob Wallace, Clint Clark, Justin Clark, Cole Goodson, Gary Bracey, Cody James, Ethan Fielder and Zach Claussen.
Honorary Pallbearers are Scott James, Brody James, Kade Fielder, Chance Clark, Tyler Clark, Jace Clark, Grady James and Justin Roper.
