Danny Arlon Wilkes, 73, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in his home. He was born May 31, 1950, in Batesville, Arkansas to William McKinley Wilkes and Norma Lee Taylor. He was retired from ConAgra Foods after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church of Cave City, Arkansas. Danny enjoyed gardening, eating, knives, hunting, riding side by side in his neighborhood and woodworking. He was very passionate about weaponry.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 44 years, Carol Landers Wilkes; his brother, Archie Wilkes; and his sister, Nona Ford.
He is survived by his daughter, Tera Landers of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Bobby Wilkes of Cave City, Arkansas and Buell Wilkes of Evening Shade, Arkansas; a sister, Wonema Thompson of Cave City, Arkansas; one grandchild, Adrian Little of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Philip Lewallen officiating.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Paul Humbrecht, Billy Dean Goforth, Ronnie Perkey, Brent Herndon, Jim Smith and Roy Freeman.
