Herbert Lee Huckabee Addington 71 of Newport departed this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
He was born in Newport, AR on October 20, 1952, to Willie Joe and Helen (Dockins) Addington. Mr. Huckabee was of the Baptist belief. He reveled in life’s simple joys, finding solace in the great outdoors through hunting and fishing. A master of the grill, a poker enthusiast, and a lover of the open road, he embraced each moment with passion. His spirit lives on in the echoes of laughter around a poker table and the sizzle of a grill, forever etched in the hearts of those who shared his love.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Pamela Foster
He is survived by his wife of 47 years; Carol Huckabee of Newport, two sons: Micheal Huckabee of Newport, Lee Huckabee and wife Bridgett of Tuckerman, one daughter; Polly Morgan Huckabee of Newport, two brothers: Bobby Addington and wife Mary of Diaz, Benny Addington and wife Sue of Louisiana, six grandchildren: Spencer Huckabee, Logan Huckabee and wife Jessie, Chase Huckabee, August Huckabee, Austin Morgan, and Tinslee Huckabee, one great grandchild; Ensley Huckabee.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, at the Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
