Ronald “Ronnie” Earl Reeves, 80, passed away on November 24, 2023. He was born in Robstown, Texas, on August 6, 1943, to Floyd and Bessie Reeves.

Ronnie was a great example of what it means to be a true man of God. He spent most of his time giving of himself by volunteering at numerous places including White River Hospital, Independence County Senior Center, Paragould Children’s Home, and the Church of Christ Food Bank. He was also a hard worker and was a stenographer for over 38 years in Texas and Louisiana. Ronnie also enjoyed woodworking, playing water volleyball, hunting, and fishing in his free time.

Overall, Ronnie was a joyful and caring person. He always made sure to take care of his family and friends. Once he considered you a part of his family, he always looked after you. Ronnie also loved to make others laugh by telling one of his many funny stories. But most of all, Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, including his beloved dogs and cats. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Charles Reeves and Bessie Erline Honeycutt Reeves; son, Bart Lane Reeves; sister, Patsy Ann Reeves Parton (Kenneth); and brother, Timothy Wayne Reeves. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Sadie Ann Pruitt Reeves; daughter, Brandi Leigh Reeves Greenberg (David) of College Station, Texas, Gerri Jones Webb (Brad) of Batesville, Arkansas, and Debbie Jones Orf of Weldon Springs, Missouri; son, Lee Edward Boner of Rio de Janeiro; and ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in Robstown, Texas, on March 16, 2024. In lieu of flowers, please donate in honor of Ronnie to the Paragould Children’s Home, 5515 Old Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.
