The deadline for the United Way of North Central Arkansas’s Angel Tree program is Dec. 10, and the agency says over 80 Angel Tree “tags” are still available at participating locations in Batesville.
Each October, the Department of Human Services receives applications for underprivileged children of Independence County for the Angel Tree. The United Way collects the information, and names are distributed via the tags to various organizations and individuals who can then make gift or monetary donations.
The following banks still have Angel Tree tags available:
- Bank of Cave City’s Batesville branch – East Main Street
- Centennial Bank – Harrison Street location
- Citizens Bank – Main St. Louis Street location
- First Community Bank – Main Harrison Street location
- Merchants and Planters Bank- Harrison Street
Individual toy donations may be dropped off at Southern Bank on St. Louis Street.
Monetary donations may also be made by texting UnitedWeCan to 44-321, or by scanning the QR code below.
