Lanny “Beef” Heath, 70, of Oil Trough, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Born on September 8, 1953, to his mother, Betty (Batson) Owen, Lanny contributed his skills to the construction industry through the concrete crew he ran at M&A Jones for fifteen years. His love for the outdoors manifested in his joy for his vegetable garden, hunting, fishing, and finding solace by the river. Lanny cherished moments with friends and family, sharing laughter and watching football. His affection extended to his dogs, and the simple pleasures of spending time with them brought him great happiness. Lanny’s memory is a testament to the value he placed on relationships, nature, and the serenity found in life’s uncomplicated joys.

Lanny was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby Medruth Shaw; his grandfather, Glennoth Owen Shaw; his son, Eric Heath and his faithful four-legged companion of fourteen years, Buck.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Owen of Oil Trough; his daughter, Misty Heath of Oil Trough; his sister, Jennifer Richardson (Bruce) of Newport; his grandchildren, Josh Heath of Banner, Mississippi, Stevie Ann Heath of Banner, Mississippi, Zackary Heath of Batesville, and Ethan Patterson of Batesville.
