Ervin Hoffmeister Jr., 82, of Newport departed this life on December 6, 2023.  He was born May 8, 1941, to Ervin Otto Hoffmeister Sr. and Edith Violet (Young) Hoffmeister.

Ervin found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting deer and rabbit, as well as fishing. Family reunions held a special place in his heart, where laughter and shared memories created a tapestry of love.

Though we mourn the loss of Ervin, we also celebrate the sixty years of marriage he shared with his beloved wife, Peggy. His daughter, Susan, and sister, Carol, carry the torch of his memory forward. Ervin Hoffmeister Jr. now rests in peace, surrounded by the love that defined his extraordinary life.
