Martha Jewell Ward, 93, of Newport passed from this life on December 6, 2023. She was born on January 8, 1930, to Albert Kersey.
Martha Ward, a dedicated homemaker, found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Renowned for her culinary skills, she was a great cook who delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones. Her love for family was evident in the time she devoted to them, creating cherished moments. Martha’s affection extended to her feline companions, adding warmth to her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Bobby Ward, and her eleven siblings. Today, we remember Martha for her nurturing spirit, culinary skills, and the love that surrounded her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her son, Mike Ward (Amanda) of Tuckerman; her daughters, Debbie Shelton of Heber Springs and Yvonne Wilson of Vilonia; her grandchildren, Robert Bellingrath (Lisa), Heather Trowbridge, Ashley Shelton, Shane Willhite and Haley Wilson (David); her great-grandchildren, Zachary Bellingrath, Emily Bellingrath, Nathan Bellingrath, Jacob Trowbridge, Joshua Trowbridge, Abbigail Trowbridge, Jayden Trowbridge, Addalin Tyley and Edyn Wilson; and one great great grandchild, Bennett Jackson Wanlass.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
