Vital Link Ambulance Service hosted its annual Holiday Awards Banquet on Tuesday, Dec. 5, celebrating “…the dedication and commitment of its outstanding team members who have been the backbone of the organization throughout the year,” a news release from the service said.
The event was “…a heartfelt occasion to express gratitude to the hardworking individuals who play a pivotal role in providing essential pre-hospital care and interfacility transport services to our service area,” the release noted.
“The success of Vital Link is a reflection of the unwavering dedication and professionalism of each member of our team,” said Kathy Lanier, CEO of Vital Link Ambulance Service. “Our employees have shown resilience, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to public service.”
During the awards ceremony, the highlight of the evening was the presentation of the EMT and Paramedic of the Year awards, recognizing individuals nominated by their peers who have demonstrated exemplary skills, leadership, and a commitment to the highest standards of patient care.
The EMT of the Year award was presented to Keith Porter (pictured above, left, with Vital Link’s Kenny Tosh). Porter has been a part of the Vital Link family since 1999.
Vital Link said Porter “…consistently demonstrates exceptional skills in emergency medical care and displays compassion in every interaction with patients and their families.”
