Barbara Ann (Hughey) Long, 69 of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Monday ~ December 11, 2023, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born April 28, 1954, in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Jesse and Edith (Hughey) Gerard. Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, Richard Long, and one brother, Donny Hughey. She was a homemaker and volunteered at school and the library in Harrisburg. Barbara enjoyed reading, crafts, and spending time with her animals and her family and friends. She is survived by three sons: Michael Carron, Danny Carron, and Chuck Long all of Harrisburg, one daughter, Edith Lenora Long of Pottscamp, Mississippi, one sister, Martha Wood of Veederburg, IN, several grandchildren and great-grands. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. M. Friday, December 15, 2023, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel until Service time. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Franklin will conduct the service. These men will serve as Active Pallbearers: Dakota Lambert, Adam Stevens, Larry Foerester, Brent Reeves, Trevor Carron, and Drew Carron, Honorary Pallbearers will be Harvey Hamby and Brock Carron.
