Barbara Joyce Reeves, aged 70, of Salado, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 11:06 p.m. She was born on October 23, 1953, in New Albany, Mississippi. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, embodying the true essence of love, selflessness, and dedication.
Barbara will be forever loved and fondly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Rickey Reeves of the home, and her children Jeff Reeves, Tina Schales (Scotty) of Salado Arkansas, Mark Reeves of Salado Arkansas, George Reeves of Bradford Arkansas, and Amber Grigsby (Bradley) of Salado Arkansas, as well as her grandchildren Kyler Reeves, Hayleigh Justice, Brantley Grigsby, Corbin Grigsby, Zoey Grigsby, Brook Farris, and Dakota Chavers.  Her memory will also be held dear by her brothers Roy Frazier (Ladonna Frazier) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Timmy Frazier (Denise) of Southern Pines, North Carolina, and sisters Melisha Berridge (Walter) of Manchester, Tennessee, Linda Dedman (Chuck) of Huntsville, Alabama, Sheryl Irvin (Mike) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sondra Darby of Bay, Arkansas and Michelle Morton of Bay, Arkansas and many nieces, nephews and loved ones. Barbara was preceded in death by her father Herbert Frazier, her mother Janet Humble and stepfather Charles Humble.
Educated at Bay High School in Bay Arkansas, Barbara pursued a successful career at White Rodgers, where she devoted more than 20 years of her life. Her unwavering work ethic and dedication were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Barbara found solace and strength in her unwavering faith, worshiping at Southside Tabernacle Church of God. Her faith in God never wavered.
Beyond her professional achievements and religious commitment, Barbara’s greatest joy was found in spending precious moments with her cherished grandchildren. Their laughter and happiness brought immeasurable joy to her.
Barbara Joyce Reeves will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her enduring love, unwavering commitment, and selfless nature have left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration for all those who mourn her loss.
A time of Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2023, at noon with Services starting at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Home with Bro. Don Clark is officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Egner Cemetery in Salado, Arkansas
Pallbearers will be Scotty Schales, Bradley Grigsby, David Johnston, Joe Foster, Brandon Pomranky, and John Parks.
