Ernestine Luvo “Toots” (Qualls) Autry, 92, of Big Flat, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born December 14th, 1931, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Forrest and Hazel (Morrison) Qualls. She married Dual Autry on September 4th, 1960, and they were married until his passing, on December 28th, 1983.
Ernestine was a faithful Christian and of the Baptist faith. She worked in the church nursery. Her love for her Lord, her family, and others was evident in her words and actions. She loved gardening, flowers, fishing, hunting, sewing, coloring, and watching sunsets and hummingbirds. She was loved and appreciated by many people and will be greatly missed.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Hazel Qualls; one brother, Virgil Qualls; one sister, Jean Neel; loving husband, Dual Autry; and one brother-in-law, Eldon Neel.
Left to cherish her memory is her three sons, Stephen (Kathy) Autry, Michael (Francis) Autry, and David Autry; nine grandchildren, Hannah Blue, Shelby (Mykaila) Autry, Shea Autry, Matthew Autry, Caleb Kisman, Adam Kisman, Joshua Kisman, Chelsea Autry, Shantel Autry; great-grandchildren, Brayley, Kayley, Mason, Lincoln, Ronnie, Zeke, Odin, Bryson, Bria, Leo, and Lakada; one dear friend and caretaker, Marcia Griffin. Ernestine is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, at the Sylamore Cemetery, beginning at 2:00 pm. Brother Morgan Hall will officiate the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Elite Hospice, in Mountain Home, Arkansas for their compassionate service and care.
