Wanda Kathy Collom Gregory passed from this life on Thursday, January 4, 2024.  She was born on April 15, 1945, in Tuckerman, Arkansas to Thomas Lee and Gladys Beatrice (Brown) Collom.

In 1963, she proudly graduated from Tuckerman High School, laying the foundation for a life devoted to education and family. Attending Southern Baptist College for two years, she embarked on a journey that would shape her into a dedicated wife, mother, and teacher.

Marriage blessed her in 1967 when she wed Thomas Wayne Gregory, and together, they cherished the gift of two precious daughters. Her role as a stay-at-home mom became a testament to her love for family, grounded in her Christian faith. As a devoted member of the First Baptist Church, she found fulfillment in teaching Sunday School and Bible School.

Answering that call, she pursued her elementary teaching degree at Arkansas State University, opening the door to a fulfilling career as an educator. For twenty-six years, she imparted knowledge and love to students at Newport, retiring with a legacy of impact.

Her greatest joy was her family, and she found additional fulfillment in sewing, planting flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren, and delighting in the laughter of her great-granddaughters. Her life, marked by faith, love, and dedication, serves as a testament to the transformative power of education and the enduring bonds of family.
