Obituary: Toy Ned Davidson

Toy Ned Davidson, 86, of Southside, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born September 8, 1937, in Banner, Arkansas to Vernie Davidson and Obie Arnold. Toy and his brothers grew up farmers and working sawmills. He traveled construction and worked on the Greers Ferry Dam and a few others. He was a retired truck driver and poultry farmer. He also worked for John Deere. He enjoyed life and especially liked to travel the back roads of his life and reminisce. He always brought fun times and laughter. He will be greatly missed, but we know he will be rejoicing in Heaven with his twin brother, Coy and the rest of his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Toy Jason Davidson and Cecil Gean Davidson; his twin brother, Coy Davidson; other brothers, Gerald and Zenus Davidson; one grandson, Bronsen Scott;  and one great-grandchild, Akiyah Jones.

He is survived by his two sons, Vernon Davidson of Southside, AR and Michael Davidson (Debbie) of Moorefield, AR; three daughters, Rhonda Roden (Mike) of Decator, AR, Tammy Hayes (Sonny) of Southside, AR and Rhonda Lewis (Chris) of Southside, AR; five sisters, Anita Stone (Mickey), Kay Woods (Bud), Naoma Pinkston, Wilma Jo Gay (Andy) and Verna Bull (Steve); nineteen grandchildren; thirty seven great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren;  several nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Egner Cemetery in Salado, AR with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Robertson, Cameron Scott, Josh Edwards, Cory Roden, Rodney Roden and Brian Davidson.
