Leona Faye Robinson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Leona departed this life on January 13, 2024, at 80, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Leland Wells, and one great-granddaughter; Blakely Thomas.

Born on November 10, 1943, to Earl Edward and Jettie Leona (Reed) Wells, Leona’s journey through life was marked by a deep connection to her family and her faith. She was a dedicated Possum Grape Church of Christ member, finding strength and solace in her spiritual community.  She was a two-time breast cancer survivor and always encouraged other women to fight to win their battle against cancer.

She worked for the Bradford School District for twenty years.  The teachers would ask her to come into their classrooms and tell the students about her 100-year-old farm and her favorite arrowhead and Indian rock collections.  This was one of her favorite things to do and she looked forward to doing it each time.

Leona was a woman of many passions, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her green thumb graced gardens with vibrant colors, and her hands created beautiful stitches as she pursued her love for sewing. She found solace in the pages of books and delighted in the laughter and playfulness of her grandchildren. Family was at the center of her world.
In her sixty-four years of marriage to Paul Robinson, Leona exemplified commitment, love, and partnership. Together, they weathered the storms of life and shared countless moments of joy. She leaves behind a loving husband, a testament to the enduring power of a lifelong bond. Leona is survived by her husband of sixty-four years; Paul Robinson of Bradford, one son; David Robinson and wife Teresa of Newport, Mary Calhoun and husband Eugene of Bradford, and Holly Bunn of Searcy, seven grandchildren: Cara Beth Foster of Bradford, Ashlynn Bunn of Bradford, Garrett Robinson and wife Katie of Kensett, Lauren Bunn of Searcy, Gabriel Bunn of Searcy, Jordan Thomas and husband Aaron of Newport, Katlyn Schulz and husband Hayden of Newport, and three great grandchildren; Conner Wood of Bradford, Mira Foster of Bradford, and Harper Thomas of Newport.

Special thanks to Arkansas Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Possum Grape Church of Christ with Brother Lynn Smith officiating.  Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 till service time on Friday.
