A Homecoming Hootenanny, a John Prine tribute, and a Fiddle & Clog event are part of the Ozark Folk Center’s schedule for 2024.
In addition to those new events, the calendar includes the 22nd annual Spring Bluegrass Festival, presented by the Mountain View Bluegrass Association, which begins on Thursday, March 7. The festival will conclude on Saturday, March 9, showcasing traditional and contemporary bluegrass acts.

March 7-9: Mountain View Bluegrass Association Presents: 22nd Annual Spring Bluegrass Festival

Opening night on Thursday features an all-gospel bluegrass concert and matinee, and evening shows on Friday and Saturday showcase traditional and contemporary bluegrass acts.

Saturday, April 20: The Committee of One Hundred Presents: Next Generation Benefit Concert

The Committee of One Hundred presents an evening concert starring the region’s best youth stringbands and veteran folksingers during the Arkansas Folk Festival in Mountain View. The benefit concert raises money for the Music Roots program for youth in the Mountain View area.

Whether you want to hone your musical abilities or it’s your first time playing the mountain or hammered dulcimer, the annual dulcimer workshops are a great opportunity to relax, get hands-on, and make music with fellow musicians. Registration includes admission to evening concerts at Ozark Highlands Theater on Friday and Saturday.

Experience the sounds of this unique and ancient instrument during evening concerts and championship contests on April 26 and 27. Admission is free to the Hammered Dulcimer and Mountain Dulcimer Championships before concerts on Friday and Saturday. Evening shows feature acclaimed singers, multi-instrumentalists, and national champions including Aubrey Atwater, Ted Yoder, Duane Porterfield, Kara Barnard, Joe Jewell, Sarah Kate Morgan, and Rick Thum. The Arkansas Fiddle and Banjo Championships return in 2024. Admission is free for both state championship contests that happen between 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Talented banjo players will compete in the morning and fiddlers will compete in the afternoon. Stick around in the evening for a special show featuring fiddle and banjo extraordinares and the Ozark Folk Center’s square dancers from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Usual concert fees apply.
