Garland “Dale” Mobley Sr., 90, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in Cave City, Arkansas. He was born November 1, 1933, in Emery, Arkansas to G.R. and Ozella (Jarrett) Mobley. Dale owned and operated Mobley’s Paint and Hardware in Cave City for 44 years. He enjoyed collecting rocks, making jewelry, telling stories and fishing. He was a member and minister at Maxville Church of Christ for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, Nina Mobley; a son, Garland Delbert Mobley Jr. and one sister, Dianne Wooldridge.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Hunter (Max) of Cave City, Arkansas and Wendy Johnson (Greg) of Cave City, Arkansas; one brother, Jimmy Mobley of Cave City, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cave City Church of Christ with Barry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Mobley, Brock Johnson, Laddie Hunter, Austin Hunter, Derek Johnson, Larry Bates and Joshua Faver.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard and Jamie Harland, Leona Faver, Bob Townsley, Jamie Faver, Pauletta Littleton, Helen Miller and Linda West.
