Arkansas public school personnel are encouraged to apply now for the 2024 Arkansas Retired Teachers Association (ARTA) Grants Program.

The program funds grants in two categories. The Parsons-Burnett Grant is awarded to certified personnel for the purpose of furthering their own education. Awards are intended for courses of study leading to an advanced degree, certification, or endorsement. The Mitchell-Fair Grant is awarded to classified personnel for the purpose of obtaining an Arkansas teaching license. Grants of $2,000 each will be awarded through a competitive application process.

Applications must be submitted online between Jan. 15 and March 31, 2024. The number of awards will be determined by the number of applications and the availability of funds.

The ARTA Grants Program is funded by contributions from ARTA members. ARTA is a professional membership organization of Arkansas’s public education retirees.
