Shannon Don Malloy, 53, of Mount Pleasant, AR, died on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Shannon was born on June 9, 1970, in Batesville, to Larry Malloy and the late Darlene (Moser) Malloy. He was of the Christian faith. Shannon loved to hunt, fish, and be outdoors. He also enjoyed tinkering around with car engines and staying busy working around the house. There wasn’t much that Shannon couldn’t fix. Shannon was a truck driver by trade and drove for PECO for the past 7 years. The thing that Shannon loved more than anything was spending time with his family, especially his two sons, Adam and Sam. He taught them what it means to be “a man of your word”. Shannon was known to be an honest man, who followed through on his promises and stood by his word. He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Shannon is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Malloy. He is survived by his father, Larry Malloy; his sons, Adam Malloy (Amy), and Samuel Malloy (Harli); his brother, David Malloy; his sisters, Theresa Engles (Rick) and Tammie Brooks (Brad); his 8 grandchildren, Kynleigh, Braxton, Hunter, Kimber, Kylie, Sidney, Kaylee, and Remi; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. There will be a visitation on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Shannon’s funeral service, officiated by Rick Engles, will begin at 2 p.m., also at Willis Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Reeves Cemetery in Melbourne, AR (off Hwy 58). Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Brandon Lyons, Wes Brown, Daniel Malloy, Anthony Millyard, John Barnett, and Brett Love. The family would like to recognize the following people as honorary pallbearers, Jonathan Gunther, Chris Harris, Ricky Lee Engles, Brad Brooks, Tony Moser, and David Dale.
