After a five-day trial, a Fulton County man has been found not guilty in the 2022 death of his wife, an employee of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

Harvey John Taylor, 50, and Thomas Glenn Sanches, 52, were each charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Kristy Marie Taylor, 57, of Salem.

Taylor was found dead in the driveway of her home on July 9, 2022. According to court information, Kristy Taylor filed for divorce from her husband in June 2022. A judge also issued a restraining order for both parties at that time.

According to his arrest affidavit, law enforcement officials had reported Harvey John Taylor allegedly offered another man $5,000 to kill Kristy as well as her dog in the weeks before her death.

Sanches is set for trial on April 24, 2024.
