Talmage Lee Bartlett of Batesville departed this life on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on June 26, 1952, in Newport, AR, Talmage was the beloved son of Talmage Lee Bartlett, Sr. and Thora Sue (Hancock) Bartlett.
Talmage’s journey through life was marked by a deep love for his family and friends. His genuine affection for those close to him extended beyond blood ties, embracing friends as part of his extended family. He found joy in spending time with loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
An adventurer at heart, Talmage relished the opportunity to travel. Whether exploring new landscapes or revisiting cherished destinations, he found solace and joy in the experiences that the world had to offer. Alongside his love for travel, Talmage had a passion for literature, games, and movies. His interests were diverse, and he reveled in the simple pleasures of reading a good book, engaging in friendly games, and enjoying cinematic tales.
Talmage’s legacy lives on through his surviving sister, Marianna Chadwich of Mesa, Arizona, and a host of nieces and nephews, including Brandon and wife Carly, and their child Ethan Chadwich, Alexandra Sue and Husband Tony, and their children Logan, Ethan, Ellen, and Sue Torres. The love of his life, his ex-wife Nancy Weist of California, holds a special place in his heart, special aunt; Lola Bartlett Long of O’Fallon, MO, and the numerous aunts, uncles, and friends who enriched his life. Special thanks are given to Bob and Melanie Guttery, the Hancock, Huber, and Blevin families for their unwavering support.
In accordance with Talmage’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Instead, let us remember him fondly, cherishing the moments we shared and the impact he had on each of our lives. May his spirit find eternal peace, and may we find comfort in the memories of a life well-lived.
