Ronnie Orville Dyer, 71, of Newport passed from this life on Saturday, February 10, 2024. He was born in Newport on March 15, 1952, to O.C. and Elsie Lorine (Butts) Dyer.
In the tapestry of his life, hunting, fishing, and nurturing his garden were threads of joy, but it was his strawberries that truly made him renowned. Amidst these passions, his grandchildren were his brightest stars, their laughter and presence bringing him immeasurable happiness.
Behind the wheel of his log truck, he navigated life’s roads with purpose and determination. However, his journey was not without loss, as he bid farewell to his beloved wife of 42 years, Dovie Jane Dyer, leaving behind cherished memories of a life shared.
As he embarks on his final journey, his legacy of love for family, dedication to his craft, and the sweetness of his strawberries will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dovie Jane Dyer; his brother, Sam Wayne Dyer; his sisters, Genny Vandiver, Inez Dunivan, and Betty Jane Kimberling; his grandson, Brady Wayne Sindle; his nieces, Brenda Boyd, Tammy White, and Sharon Cox; and his nephew Roy Vandiver.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Heath Dyer (Robbie) of Judsonia; his daughter, Laurie Jane Sindle (Nickie) of Beebe; his grandchildren, Alyssa Sindle of Beebe, Cody Dyer of Judsonia, Caleb Sindle of Beebe, Connor Poff of Fort Smith; his nephews, Chuck Dyer of Newport, Sammy McClain (Jenny) of Batesville, Robert Vandiver of Diaz, James Dyer of Newport; his nieces, Gennette Brumley (Allen) of Amagon, Melissa Sanders (Elmer) of Algoa, and Lorine Clements (Richard) of Cater, Louisianna.
