Phil M. Hall of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the age of 72. He was born January 23, 1952, in Jonesboro, the son of Roy Carlos and Vera Glen (Huff) Hall.
Mr. Hall was a Vietnam veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps. He spent many years working as a truck driver at Howard Trucking before his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed attending rodeos, watching westerns, and riding his motorcycle. Mr. Hall had a deep affection for horses and spent a significant amount of time raising, riding, and training them. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and Papa, who loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda (Breedlove) Hall of the home; two sons, John Reed and wife, Kelly, of Campbell Station, and Josh Reed and wife, Robyn of Campbell Station; three daughters, Tammy Belknap and husband, Robert of Bombay, California, Jamie Mathis and husband, Rickey of Swifton, and Sarah Hall of Tuckerman; one brother, Brett Collins of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, Sky Keller and husband, Lane of Campbell Station, Jordan Prine of Newport, Madison Prine of Newport, Seth Billings of Newport, Elias Reed of Campbell Station, Craig Jackson of Wineville, Alabama, Reagan Gutierrez of Tuckerman, Jr. Alcocer of Tuckerman, Paiton Reed of Campbell Station, Jossilyn Reed of Campbell Station, and Bryndan Reed of Campbell Station; three great-grandsons, C.J. Keller, Kaysen Roddy, and Atlas Keller; one sister, Dianne Legvold, of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews; his horse, Popcorn; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit the funeral home, on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Watson Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are John Reed, Josh Reed, Lane Keller, Rickey Mathis, Jordan Prine, and Jr. Alcocer. Honorary pallbearers are Seth Billings, Craig Jackson, Elias Reed, and Bro. Billy Ed Morris.
