Frances “Sissie” Jones, the daughter of the late Hershel and Robbie Keith, was born September 28, 1939, in Wright, Arkansas and passed away March 2, 2024, in Mountain View, Arkansas at the age of 84 years surrounded by her family.
Sissie was a member of the Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church. She was a valiant prayer warrior for her family, friends, and strangers alike.
On October 5, 1974, she was united in marriage to the late Don “Brickshy” Jones. This union brought four surviving children: Donna Jones-Smith (Bob) of Mountain View, Arkansas, Don Tino Jones (Donna) of Cabot, Arkansas, Tracye DeAnne Rauls of Scranton, Arkansas, and Gina Moss (John) of Calico Rock, Arkansas. Sissie also had three bonus daughters: Melissa Ray, Gail Kever, and Kami Oglesby, all of Scranton, Arkansas. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and Mimi. Her grandchildren are Joy Smith (Ambrose) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Rachel Day (BJ) of Mountain View, Arkansas, Rafe Rauls (Alyssa) of Herbine, Arkansas, Lauren Pearson Hart (John Paul) of Cabot, Arkansas, Jacqueline Jones of Cabot, Arkansas, Colby Rauls (Sesaley) of Herbine, Arkansas, Jonathan Moss (Cheslie) of Calico Rock, Arkansas, Jacob Moss (Kristina) of Gassville, Arkansas, and Hallie Moody (Nick) of Mountain View, Arkansas. Sissie is also survived by her brother, Jim Keith and his daughter, Lisa, of Benton, Arkansas, a host of great-grandchildren, and her loyal dog companion, Dillon.
Throughout her life, Sissie held many jobs, including secretary of PPG Printing Ink Company in Pine Bluff, Arkansas for many years, convenience store owner of DJ’s One Stop in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Innkeeper of The Inn at Mountain View, Department Manager for Walmart in Mountain View, Arkansas, owner of Brickshy’s Resort in Allison, Arkansas, and owner/operator of Backstreet Theater in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was known for her cooking and famous pies and she loved to go to thrift stores and yard sale shopping.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services immediately following. Services will be held at Timbo Valley Assembly of God with Brother Dave Campbell officiating. The interment will be at the Historical Cemetery of Mountain View.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Moss, Jonathan Moss, Colby Rauls, Rafe Rauls, Jude Rauls, Carl Smith, and Ethan Day.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ambrose Smith, BJ Day, Nick Moody, Steven “SJ” Moss, Samuel Moss, Easton Moody, Luka Moss, Tucker Rauls, Levi Day, Paul Thomas Hart, and William Hart.
The family would also like to thank Sissie’s caregivers, Daniel Baugh and Mary Jo Fenwick as well as the congregation of Timbo Valley Assembly of God for the food provided.
