DeBora (Dee) Boyd, 72, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at her home. She was born January 25, 1952, to Earl Woolery Sr. and Bett (Cyrus) Woolery in Lincoln, Nebraska. She grew up in Greeley, Colorado. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her and to love her.
She was a dedicated craftsperson and enjoyed making her own clothing, blankets, and quilts. She especially enjoyed making baby blankets and knitting baby booties for family members.
For many years, she was a Navy wife and traveled coast to coast while working in the Federal Civil Service. She especially enjoyed traveling to Alaska on both her 20th and 30th wedding anniversary. She retired as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Regions Bank in 2014.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Woolery; and one sister, Dori Liebig.
She is survived by her husband, David Boyd, together for 40 years; a brother, Earl Woolery who depending on the season may be found in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming or Colorado; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and their children that loved her dearly.
She lived a simple life and wished no fanfare. As such, no funeral or services are planned at this time. Per her wishes, her ashes will be spread in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where she was raised and as such, considered it her home state.
A memorial service may be conducted at that time.
Her husband has had bad allergies and requests that in lieu of flowers, you may consider a contribution to a charity of your choice. Dee was an annual supporter of the Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” program and the United Service Organizations (USO) in support of our military troops.
