Rebecca Marchetti, para-professional for Midland School District, was named Monday to receive the March Citizens Bank “Shine Like a Mustang” Award.
In a news release, Citizens Bank describes Marchetti as “a constant source of support,” and she aspires to assist her fellow staff and students in any way she can.
Her peers spoke of her commitment to championing others. They said:
- “Becky plays such an important role on our campus. She is always willing to do whatever she can to help our students succeed.”
- “Becky jumps in wherever needed. Her work ethic is second to none. Mrs. Becky makes our school a better place and lifts up our team. We all need a Mrs. Becky in our lives.”
- “Becky is so supportive of the students she works with and helps to celebrate their successes. She also helps our teachers to meet the needs of other students in the classroom. She is open to doing whatever is necessary to help our school, students, and staff. She always goes above and beyond.”
- “Rebecca consistently goes above and beyond to support all students both academically and emotionally. She is always willing to help anyone at any time.”
- “Becky is a great asset to our school. She has a heart of gold that deserves to be recognized. She’s great for our school and our students! Thank you, Becky.”
With this program, “Citizens Bank and Midland School District aim to recognize staff members who shine in their role as a Mustang to live out the district’s vision to engage learning at high levels and embrace challenges without fear of failure,” the bank said in the release.
Staff nominate the award recipients who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award is presented at the Midland School Board meeting each month.
