Jane (Lamb) Beel, 83, of Pleasant Plains passed from this life to her eternal life on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. The fifth of six children born to Albert Theadore Lamb and Pearl Mae Jackson. Jane graduated from Pleasant Plains High School in 1960. On May 5, 1961, she married the love of her life, R.L. Beel. They shared 54 years of life together. They owned and operated R.L. Trucking, while also raising hogs and chickens. In their later years, they enjoyed cattle farming on the Circle B. Ranch on Hutchinson Mountain.
Throughout her life, she loved working in the cafeteria at the Pleasant Plains School and driving the school bus, transporting many children over the years. She was well-known and loved by so many. She was a Christian and a faithful member of Mt. Calvary MBC. She loved her church family with all she had and they loved her. She was a faithful servant, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She brought so much light and love to her community.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Crymes (Kenny) of Jacksonville, AR; six grandchildren, Jonathon Crymes (Melissa), Robert Beel, Brandon Beel, Andrew Crymes (Kathryn), Sara Berley (Benjamin) and Paige Helms (Wesley); twelve great-grandchildren, Austin Fletcher, Emmy Crymes, Lee Beel, Bentley Crymes, Konnor Helms, Maeve Crymes, Jackson Helms, Marin Crymes, Annalyse Helms, Mathis Crymes, Weston Helms and Owen Helms; a precious brother, Joe Lamb, of Pleasant Plains; and several nieces and nephews along with many extended loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. of 54 years and their beloved son, Robert Ellis Beel; her parents; brothers, (Neal, M.C., and Wentford); her sister, (Louise); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Mt. Calvary – Pleasant Plains MBC.
Visitation will start at noon and the service at 2:00 p.m.
Brother Billy Sutton will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary MBC or Budd Creek Baptist Camp.
Pallbearers will be Dean Nicholson, Luke Nicholson, Deon Smith, James Finley, Jeff Haigwood and Bobby Galloway.
