Obituary: Tony Ray Brooks

Tony Ray Brooks, 58, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was born on July 20, 1965, to Ruddel Brooks and Linda Holder. Tony loved beer, women, racecars, and Captain Morgan. Tony loved his trucks and his Corvette. He also enjoyed camping, playing cards, and jug fishing. Tony was always the life of every party and loved having a good time.  Above all else, Tony loved his family and spending time with them. Tony was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Tony is survived by his mother, Linda Holder; wife, Dianne Moore; daughters, Courtney Morrow (Stephen) of Higden, AR and Amber Witt (Roger) of Jamestown, AR; grandchildren, Mason Morrow, Riley Morrow, Cole Morrow, Adalynn Morrow, Brayden Witt, and Brylee Witt; and siblings, Wanda Goodrich, Kay Guthrie, Allen Brooks, Terry Brooks, and Tabitha Bunch. He is preceded in death by his father, Ruddel Brooks; son, Scrapp Fox; siblings, Cherry Lynn Brooks, Ruddel Brooks Jr., Vickie Sue Rudd, and Ronald Lloyd Brooks; and his dog, Lady Bug.

There will be a Visitation held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 6 PM until 8 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Mike Brooks, will be Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11 AM at Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Jones, Cody Maple, Adam Maple, Joe Pentecost, Josh Hahn, Jim Philpot, Tommy New, Brandon Smith, Joe Payne, Ray Silas, Will McSpadden, Dennis Shoenfield, Bill Jackson, Bob Ellis, Russell Doyen, Mikey Bell, Rusty Jeffrey, Wesley Gwaltney, Tim Brooks, Joe Brooks, and Mike Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, Tony asked that donations be made to his benefit account at First Community Bank to carry on his racing legacy. For those who wish to order flowers, the family’s florist of choice is Brendas Flowers and Gifts in Southside, AR.
