White River Health Oncology selected as beneficiary
Batesville native Dr. Lynda Beth Milligan will be the featured speaker for the 2024 Red Hot Ladies Luncheon, which will be held on Friday, April 5, in Independence Hall at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.
According to a release from Citizens Bank, the event’s lead sponsor, an estimated 300 women are expected to attend the affair, which includes a silent auction and raffle. This will mark Citizens Bank’s 18th year of involvement in the event.
This year’s raffle, donated by Jeff and Sarah Teague, includes a chance to win a 5-night stay at a beach condo along the Florida Highway 30A seaside. Tickets are one for $10 or three for $25.
Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit White River Health Oncology, whose vision is to be a healing space with the staff, equipment, and technology to save lives.
The Red Hot Ladies Luncheon serves “…to raise awareness about issues impacting the lives of women and inspire them to make positive changes and commit to a healthy lifestyle,” the release said.
Since its inception as “The Go Red for Women” luncheon in 2006, this popular ladies’ event series has raised approximately $175,500 for various non-profit organizations that serve the health-related needs of women and their families in Batesville, Independence County, and the surrounding communities.
The silent auction, featuring items and services donated by dozens of local businesses, will open at 11 a.m. Reserved sponsorship tables for eight guests for the Red Hot Ladies Luncheon are available for $200. Individual tickets, with open seating, are available for $25 each.
To reserve tables, purchase raffle tickets, or obtain other information, call Ashley Engles at (870) 698-9650. Luncheon and raffle tickets may also be purchased at the event or in advance at Citizens Bank’s main Batesville branch at 655 St. Louis.
