Jarvis Lee Rucker, age 63, of Bono, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born February 8, 1961 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to James Rucker and Van Lucille Rucker (Simpson). Jarvis enjoyed woodworking, smoking meat, making tamales and anything involving tractors. He loved time spent with his family, especially his pride and joy, his granddaughter, Scarlett.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-in-law, Douglas Herring and Lavaughn Barnes.

He is survived by his son, Justin Rucker (Britney) of Brookland, Arkansas; one daughter, Jessica Rucker (Garrett Wheeler) of Brookland, Arkansas; his granddaughter, Scarlett Marie Rucker; his sisters, Carolyn Herring, Dorothy Barnes, Linda Lyles, Debbie (Johnny) Permenter and Darlene (Jerry) Price; his brothers, Darrell Rucker and Jim (Judy) Rucker; several nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at noon at the Brookland Baptist Church in Brookland, Arkansas with Justin Rucker speaking. Burial will follow in the Lorado Cemetery in Lorado, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Mike Parrish, Derek Herring, Elliott Rucker, Shane Price, Jackie Coffman and Tyler Herring.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Fuqua, Luther Tribble, David Massey, Ray Herring, Rusty Rucker, Joey Price, Jeff Price, Scotty Barnes and Bobby Lyles.
