Stone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported home invasion early Tuesday morning in Onia, Ark.
According to a Stone County Sheriff’s Office release, the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at a Highway 263 address. Upon arrival, deputies learned a subject had allegedly forced entry into the residence and stolen various items, including a parked vehicle at the residence.
After detectives investigated the scene, Dusty Allan Rhodes (pictured below), 33, from Harriet, Ark., was identified as a suspect.
A nationwide BOLO (Be On the LookOut) was issued for Rhodes and the stolen vehicle, which was later located at a Dollar General store in Marion County, Arkansas.
According to the release, Rhodes was apprehended after a search of the area and has since been taken into custody at the Marion County Detention Center pending transport to Stone County.
Rhodes faces multiple charges related to the home invasion, including residential burglary, theft of property, theft by receiving, and two counts of breaking or entering. He’s also being charged as a habitual offender with prior felony convictions.
As of now, Rhodes remains in custody without bond.
In the release, the Stone County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to several agencies for their assistance in the case, including the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Home Police Department, and the Arkansas Department of Corrections K9 Team.
