A Calico Rock man is facing 100 counts involving child pornography after an investigation by the Arkansas State Police (ASP) and the Izard County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the ASP, agents with its Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the Izard County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Tuesday, March 26, in the 200 block of Highway 56 in Calico Rock.

A joint undercover operation between ASP’s ICAC Task Force and the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office led to the discovery of thousands of files of Child Sexual Abuse Material that had been downloaded and shared from the home of 55-year-old Mark Vangorder (pictured below).

Vangorder was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Izard County Detention Center for 100 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. His bond is set at $250,000.
