William Douglas ‶Doug″ Faulkner Sr., 74, formerly of Harrisburg now living in Jonesboro, Arkansas departed this life Monday ~ April 8, 2024, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Doug was born May 18, 1949, in Harrisburg, Arkansas the son of Elra Layman Faulkner and Alma Evelyn (Stephens) Faulkner Bullington.
His parents have preceded him in death and one brother, Richard Faulkner and one sister, Joan Carolyn James and one granddaughter, Morgan Carter.
He attended the Church of Christ in Harrisburg, served his country in the United States Navy, loved sports, especially the Cardinals and the Razorbacks, and spent time with family and friends.
He is survived by one son, William ‶Bubba″ Faulkner Jr. and wife, Shelia, one daughter, Angie and husband Ricky Carter, one sister, Doris and husband Marvin Krauss all of Harrisburg, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, beginning at 1:00 P.M. in Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel until service time. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel. Bro. Steve Mabry will conduct the service and these men will serve as active pallbearers: Clint Carter, Austin Faulkner, Hunter Gresham, Colten Hooper, James Mason, and Wesley Hooper. The interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
