Diana (Sullins) Lancaster of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born April 15, 1946, in Newport, the daughter of Jennings and Mabel (Smith) Sullins.

Diana was a homemaker who attended Grubbs High School. She had a passion for growing plants and flowers and was known for her exceptional gardening skills. With her love and care, Diana could revive even dying plants.

Family was everything to Diana and she took immense pride in being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She cherished spending time with her loved ones and enjoyed telling others about them.

Diana was a member of the Washington Avenue Church of Christ in Jonesboro and her church community held a special place in her heart. She had a wide circle of friends all over the country and was very active on Facebook, where she made many new friends.

Diana was a kind and considerate person who never met a stranger. Her loss will be felt deeply by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jennings and Mabel Sullins; and one brother, Phil Sullins.

Diana is survived by her husband, Robert Lancaster of Jonesboro; one son, Russell Scott Whaley and wife, Celia; one daughter, Kelly Ann Godowns; one stepdaughter, Angela Ledbetter and husband, Chris; three grandchildren, Grace Godowns and Adrian Lucci, Seth Whaley and wife, Sophie, and Zoe Poteete and husband, Justin; two step-grandsons, Ben Creameans and Jared Creameans; three great-grandchildren, Zayne Thomas, Bryce Poteete, and Cade Poteete; two brothers, Perry Sullins and wife, Herkey, and Gordon Sullins and wife, Lisa; three sisters, Lynda Sue Smith, Anita Wagster, and Teresa Daigh; her aunt, Wilda Hodges of Newark; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

There will be no funeral service, as was Diana’s request.
