William R. Vannattan, 75, of Southside passed away on April 12, 2024.
He was born December 31, 1948, in Burley, Idaho to Dewey Francis Vannattan and Mattie Scroggins Vannattan.
William loved his family and was a strong-willed person. He served in the US Air Force during Vietnam, was a retired truck driver, and was a mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars and always said ”the faster they would go, the better”. He also loved to ride his motorcycle and watch TV, mainly cop shows.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, whom he married February 26, 1971, Juanita Lebernz Vannattan of the home; two sons, Jody Vannattan (Rachael) of Batesville, Tony Vannattan of Batesville; one daughter, Lory Franks (Derrick) of Batesville; one brother, Gaylord Vannattan (Sandy) of Washington; sister-in-law whom he and his wife helped raise, Terry Fithen of Oregon; a sister-in-law and good friend, Shirley Brewer of Alco; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one infant sister.
