It’s the right time of year for planting, and the Independence County Courthouse lawn is receiving a refresh thanks to a collaboration between the Independence County Master Gardeners and the Independence County Extension Office.

County Judge Kevin Jeffery said it was time for the update, which will complement the ongoing window upgrades at the courthouse. Jeffery said the existing shrubbery at the courthouse was damaged by disease. (Below images provided by Independence County Judge Kevin Jeffery.)
