Myrle Runyan, 89, of Batesville passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in Batesville. She was born October 23, 1934, in Batesville to Sam Collins and Edith Ivy Collins. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Batesville. She enjoyed drinking her sweet tea as well as her flowers, doing word search puzzles, watching Razorback sports, reading and she loved animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 69 years, J.W.Runyan.
Survivors include a son, Jay Runyan (Diane) of Batesville; a daughter, Dana Casteel (Deral) of Searcy; a brother, Sammy Collins (Betty) of Batesville; three grandchildren, Kristen Smith, Ashley Elizabeth Wygal and Anna-Grace Powell; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Whillock, Marley Smith and Paulie Wygal; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 10:00 am at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Mark Ferren officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery
